Armenia is strengthening its position as an emerging innovation powerhouse. At the 10th edition of VivaTech, Europe’s largest technology and startup event, three Armenian startups have earned the opportunity to represent the country in Paris after winning the national “Gateway to VivaTech 2026” pitch competition held on April 16.
During our visit to the exhibition, we met Julien Schmitt at the stand of EU4Innovation East. He highlighted the initiative’s mission to strengthen innovation ecosystems across the Eastern Partnership region and support high-potential startups in reaching international markets.
Among thirteen Armenian startups that competed in the national selection process, three companies stood out and secured their place at VivaTech 2026: Denovo Sciences, TACTUN, and MedPair.
Denovo Sciences represents Armenia’s growing excellence in deep technology. The company is transforming pharmaceutical research through proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms and reinforcement learning systems capable of designing novel small-molecule drug candidates. Its innovative approach has the potential to accelerate drug discovery and bring breakthrough treatments to market more efficiently.
Another standout, TACTUN, is redefining industrial automation. The company has developed an AI-ready, full-stack no-code controller and application builder that enables machinery manufacturers to automate and digitize complex hardware operations without requiring extensive software engineering resources. The solution addresses a growing demand within Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing sectors.
The third selected startup, MedPair, is a French-Armenian digital health company focused on improving access to healthcare across Europe. By creating what it describes as a “digital front door” to healthcare systems, MedPair aims to streamline patient journeys, simplify access to medical services, and enhance healthcare efficiency through innovative digital tools.
Armenia’s presence at VivaTech extends beyond these three companies. As part of the event, EU4Innovation East will host a dedicated regional pitch session featuring nine startups from Armenia, Ukraine, and Moldova. The initiative is designed to increase the visibility of Eastern Partnership innovation ecosystems among international investors, corporations, and policymakers attending the event.
Every year, VivaTech attracts tens of thousands of visitors eager to discover the technologies shaping tomorrow’s economy. For Armenia, the participation of Denovo Sciences, TACTUN, and MedPair represents a unique opportunity to showcase the country’s entrepreneurial talent and technological expertise on a global stage.
Their presence in Paris reflects the rapid development of Armenia’s innovation ecosystem and reinforces the country’s ambition to become a leading technology hub connecting Europe and the Caucasus. As investors and industry leaders gather in the French capital this June, all eyes will be on these three startups as they demonstrate that Armenian innovation is ready to compete with the best on the international scene.
