Je suis ravie de vous inviter à la projection de Last Station, un film qui a beaucoup de signification pour moi, car il est inspiré d'incidents réels de nos vies et de nos tournées, avec Gérald Papasian, de notre pièce de théâtre Le Chant d'Ararat (première française au Festival d'Avignon).
Le film a récemment été projeté dans le cadre de la rétrospective de mes films à Erevan, et en juillet dernier lors de la clôture du Festival Golden Apricot, où nous avons tous deux reçu les prix spéciaux du Cinema Guild pour nos jeux de comédiens.

(I am thrilled to invite you to the screening of Last Station, a film that means a lot to me, as it is inspired by real incidents from our lives, and our tours with Sojourn at Ararat with Gerald Papasian. World Première at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The film was recently screened as part of the retrospective of my films in Yerevan, and back in July as the closing of the Golden Apricot Film Festival, where we were both awarded the special Cinema Guild Awards for our performances as actors.

Nés en Égypte, Nora Armani et Gerald Papasian créent en 1986 le spectacle Le Chant d’Ararat, qui s’inspire de la poésie arménienne. Autour de ce projet, le film tisse passé et présent, documentaire et fiction, pour dépeindre une identité qui apparaît tantôt comme un refuge, tantôt comme une prison.
(Born in Egypt, Nora Armani and Gerald Papasian created Sojourn at Ararat in 1986, a play based on Armenian poetry. The film weaves together past and present, documentary and fiction, around this stage production, to depict a cultural identity that sometimes feels like a refuge, and at other times becomes a prison.)
