Alex, brillante avocate, et sa compagne Kim veulent adopter une petite Thaïlandaise. Mais les autorités du pays n'acceptent que les dossiers des couples mariés. Alex demande à son frère César, concessionnaire, de jouer le rôle du mari de Kim. Au bord de la ruine, César accepte d'embarquer pour Bangkok contre une forte somme d'argent. Mais le courant ne passe pas du tout entre lui et Kim, qui doivent pourtant jouer au couple idéal…
