Don au media Hayrenik weekly qui a commencé dans l’arrière-boutique d’un cordonnier il y a 120 ans

Next year will mark the 120th anniversary of the Hairenik Weekly. The Hairenik has come a long way since its humble beginnings in the back of an Armenian shoe repair store in New York City. As the eighth oldest ethnic newspaper in the United States, we have documented the Armenian experience in America—often in its staggering proportions—for over a century. And despite rapidly shifting technologies and cultural landscapes, the Hairenik Weekly and its English language counterpart, Armenian Weekly (preparing to celebrate its 85th anniversary) continue to provide you with unique coverage and commentary on Armenian issues that you cannot find anywhere else.

But—as with many alternative news outlets—we need your help to continue to raise the bar. Help us keep our journalism alive and thriving by contributing what you can to our fundraising drive. Your donations not only make our newspaper possible, but also go to funding internships and fellowships for young and aspiring Armenian journalists—paving the way for a just future for Armenians and Americans alike.

Our newspapers have been a valuable source of community journalism for over 100 years—with your help, we can ensure the financial and cultural sustainability of our publication for another 100 more.
